Introduction to Cast

Cast is an audio live streaming server built on top of Node.js. You can compare Cast to software like SHOUTcast and Icecast. Both of these have deep roots in the 90's. With Cast, we're getting Internet radio out of these times and into 2015 (and counting).

Cast is built on three pillars:
